Gregory Craig Brown Jr. (Born August 28, 1990), professionally known as Its64boy (also known as 64 or simply 64 Boy), is an American record producer, record executive, and Label Owner of Stackin Up Entertainment based in Virginia. Brown began a production career while in high school and became known for his successful production with hip hop and trap artists such as Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Megan Thee Stallion, Crunchy Black and Lucky Luciano in the mid 2018-2021. In 2020, Respect (magazine) called him “A pioneer in the Music Industry”, while Soundcloud fans acknowledged 64 for record, “Fineto,” produced by Brown reaching over 1million streams.
64 have built an impressive resume of collaborations, he takes his unique Bay Area, Trap, R&B cultural blend. Its64boy is a true musician. He writes his own lyrics, produce his own tracks, and publish his own records through Stackin Up Entertainment distribution services. Its64boy of Stackin Up Entertainment is a 2 time gold Producer and Artist on Spotify with a record he produced for Ana Baby, “Show Me Love.” Its64boy also landed a major distribution deal with GT Digital/EMPIRE Distribution. This opened so many door for Stackin Up Entertainment along with charting #12 on the Apple iTunes charts, which opened a lot of doors for 64. Its64boy has 2 new singles that dropped. Early Life Gregory Craig Brown Jr. was born on August 28, 1990, in Richmond, Virginia where he attended VarinaHigh School. He has six siblings. Growing up, 64 was around his pop as a Dj listening to Rick James, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, Dr.Dre, Jim Crow Boys, Three Six Mafia, The Beatles, Ludacris, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Eazy E, etc.After making beats on the school lunch tables as well as playing on the beat machines at home, he turned to making beats in the Ninth grade at age 16. This happened when his grandmother bought him a laptop and he got a copy of the music production software FruityLoops. In high school, 64 whipped up five beats a day. Initially, 64 wanted to rap, and started making beats so that he could have music to rap over. However, he eventually turned his full attention toward hip hop production, writing, and attending his Record Label. As he continued to hone his production skills, while still in high school, he began to utilize online social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook to network with more established rap artists as well as beat submissions for potential music placements. As a child, Brown used to beat on walls and freestyle to the beats as he felt the rhythm.
2006–2008: The Beginning Brown was introduced to FruityLoops by a friend David Clack from his old job, Applebees. After he studied FL Studio and got the hang of it, 64 started sending beats out to rappers at VarinaHigh School and was mentioned as one of the dopest producers at VarinaHigh School Brown later purchased USB mics and started recording himself to keep every thing in house. 64 later started burning songs on CDs and passed it around school just to get his name out there. Its64boy had always wanted to go to the NBA growing up and make it a career. When he was 14years old, he tried out for the basketball team and the nurse who did his physical exam checked his heart and said, ”Your heartbeat is abnormal, irregular, and you can die any day now.” That deterred Its64boy from ever wanting to pursue his dream because of the fear of losing his life. So when he wasn’t picked for the game, Its64boy picked up music and it became his NBA. With a deep-rooted passion for music, he treats it like a sport each and every day, and lives inside of him.
2009–2013: Rise to fame Gregory Brown also attended Norfolk State University with a Bachelors of Science with a Minor in Music Technology. Brown completed a 4000 unpaid hour internship recording artist in the same studio that Pharell Williams engineered artist at his early stage of his career. Brown also dropped a Mixtape Verbal Hostility on Datpiff that was killing streets Hosted by Dj Havoc in the 757. 64 Boy also learned how to put together video treatments, market music, Engineer, Produce, Music Law, and Edit videos while attending Norfolk State University All of these things help 64 build his business as the Music Mogul that he is today. 64 first placement was with Dae Dae with Dirt Gang/Brick Squad Monopoly founded by Waka Flocka Flame and 64 featured on this record as well as produced on ReverbNation called For My Squad that was orchestrated by Big P also known as Will Banks. 64 also dropped a record
2013-Present Day May of 2013 Brown received his Bachelors in Science and minored in Music Technology at Norfolk State University . 6months after graduation, Greg moved into an apartment with his college sweetheart Linda. Linda always believed in 64 coming up and Brown stayed on his grind. September of 2015, Greg & Linda got married at Antioch Baptist Church following a reception at the Jewish Community Center. Fast forward a year later, Linda & Greg Became first time home buyers with a baby on the way. On February 14, 2017, Brown was blessed with a beautiful daughter by the name of Laila. Brown used to hold his daughter in one arm and bang out beats on the other arm. Brown’s daughter made 64 realize how valuable time was. In 2018 Gregory was blessed with a son, which made Brown push 10x’s harder. Fast forward to present day, 64 has placements with Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Megan Thee Stallion, Crunchy Black and Lucky Luciano . Gregory’s hard work and determination got him to where he is now. 64 started partnering with Big Wall with a phenomenal record, I Get It Remix featuring Project Pat which is available on all digital platforms. 64 also dropped his Debut project “Traumatized Life Story,” that charted #12 on Apple iTunes.
