Chicagoland area Hip Hop artist Skotti provides songs with a combination of introspective lyricism, storytelling and playful rhymes. With East Coast Hip Hop being a primary influence for his sound, he is also influenced by a multitude of artists such as Eminem, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Capital Steez, Mac Miller and many more.
Scott Franklin Edwards Jr. was born in Joliet, Illinois, a suburb outside of Chicago. Growing up in Ingalls Park, he began writing raps at the age of 10 with childhood friends, although his focus was mainly on sports up until his high school graduation. He began taking acting classes shortly after high school but would often write and record music in his spare time. It wasn’t until late 2021 that he began to release music. He has yet to drop a debut project, focusing more on releasing singles and growing a fan base.
